SC Commends Judges for Outstanding Performance on ‘Judgment Day’

In the Judiciary, good work does not go unnoticed.

The Supreme Court has commended 20 trial court judges for their outstanding performance in disposing the most number of civil and criminal cases during last year’s National Judgment Day.

The 2022 National Judgment Day, which was held on November 16, 2022 to coincide with the 47th anniversary of the Office of the Court Administrator (OCA), resulted in the disposal of 55,514 out of the 94,166 criminal cases heard on the said day and the release of 16,475 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).

Philippines has been accepted as member of the IAJ

It is with great pride that we announce that through the efforts of the MeTCJAP, the Philippines has been accepted as a member of the International Association of Judges (IAJ), an international organization comprised of different judges’ organizations. After being subjected to the tedious process of review of our Judicial system, on 11 September 2021, the present members of the IAJ have found the Philippines qualified to become a member of such a prestigious organization.
